Go to Part 2: www.youtube.com Synopsis: This programme, broadcast in 2005 is from the Phoenix TV series “Lu Yu You Yue” (A Date With Lu Yu – Tell Us Your Story). Lu Yu is a famous female Oprah-style talk show host in China. This episode focuses on the lives, love, trials and tribulations of Li Lunzuo and Ju Jiazhong. Li was born into a farming family in Chengdu, while Ju was born in Chongqing. Both of them were born about days apart in March 1956. They first met each other in Chengdu on 12 Mar 1985, at a lake near the Wenhua Laodong Gong (Cultural Labour Centre). The lake was a popular local gay hangout then. Ju made the first move by asking to borrow a lighter from Li. They found the ideal partner in each other, and have since been together for 21 years at the time the show was recorded. They had also celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in 2006, after having gotten married a year after meeting. Their marriage was not a legal union since China does not recognise same-sex marriage. There were no witnesses to the ceremony – it was just the two of them, with “the blue sky, white clouds, green hills and emerald waters” as their witnesses (the location was a reservoir area). The thing is that i not think, but know that the UK and the usa is more communist than China. That i am certain of because i am living it. I am in no way free.
well you do not understand politics then, in the UK the current polical party is Labour which is communist but in the USA and UK we have a choise of parties….. in China they only have one party and because of that even if they are only a little bit left wing it makes them communist
Oh my, what a breakthrough! That’s one of China’s top talk show. 2 gay men going on it and talk openly about their marriage. The hostess uses a very positive angle to steer the interview. She keeps saying she’s very moved by their story and she asks the audience to have an open and tolerant mind to view this episode. Way to go, China. If gays and lesbians have a future on your land, you deserve to be the great country that you aspire to be.

As a child all you wanna do is fit in. I’m adopted and growing up knowing you’re adopted is different enough. Last thing we wanna be referred to is “gay children”. Peolpe already look at you strange.
This will also effect those who aren’t adopted by gay parents and the results will be anger, deppression, hate and suicide attempts.
The marrige is ok but leave adoptopn out of it.

Does it matter where someone is from? When the topic is how China is improving civil rights it’s just as important to report as when there are human rights violations.
Maybe from where you live. Where I live, it’s common to have same sex parents adopting children and it’s normal.
Even if the kid isn’t adopted by two same sex parents, their peers will make fun of them regardless. Can be their over weight, different ethnic parents, glasses, and such on.
If my parents were to kick me out because of my sexuality, of course I would want a same sex couples to adopt me. I wouldn’t want to experience it again of fearing my new straight parents won’t accept me.

Doesn’t matter if there is other complexions for adopted kids. Overweight, ethnicity and is far more exepted in today society than homosexuallity. As far as I’m concerned that should me a reason not to add on to their burden. See you’re not thinkin about the kids!!

The only sample I see you use is the ‘if’ and yourself for excuses for allowing same sex parents to allow.
I have met adopted kids as little as 10 are happy with their new gay parents. I used to know some foster teenagers who want to get adopted so bad regardless of their parents sexuality because they are tired of feeling unwanted and transferring from different foster homes.

I didn’t say use the kids as experiment, they do get a choice whither they want to be adopted by gay parents. If they don’t want to then they won’t be force.

But, i think they did that in the show to underline that these two guys although they reside in places far from each other…. they knew at a young age that they didn’t like girls. They want to make it sound like its inborn. Yeah… something along those lines.
